Location: Seoul Garden –Maitland, Florida
Date of Visit: 07/18/2019
Florida Stuffed welcomes you to the first restaurant to be featured in Maitland, Florida. Korean cuisine has not been featured much on this site and that will change. This is one place I suggest you try, whether you are new to this particular cuisine or if you are looking for something a little better, more authentic. This restaurant sits close to Heratio Avenue and US-1792 but remained peaceful, even at lunch time during my visit. The atmosphere was relaxed, and overall service was good. I was joined by a friend on this visit and I will give her feedback in a moment but she was satisfied with the experience as well.
Seoul Garden stands out with service, fresh food and food presentation. I found myself a little out of practice using chop sticks but it was fun learning how to eat with them again. After a few bites of my food, I knew I would come back to visit this place again. Seating arrangements and decor made a comfortable dining experience. Korean food has a different flavor compared to other Asian cuisines so I always enjoy experimenting a little with this cuisine.
Accessibility: Seoul Garden is located on Heratio Avenue (westbound) near the intersection of US-17-92. Traffic can become heavy at this intersection in all directions during commute hours. If you are coming from any other direction than traveling along westbound Heratio, I would suggest you take George Avenue to Swoope Avenue to avoid traffic.
Customer Service: I was greeted upon entry and seated. Our server was very nice, helpful and attentive to us. We were checked on a few times during our visit. Our orders came out in less than fifteen minutes.
Dating Scene: This place offers enough in terms of food and comfort to keep any couple happy. Seating arrangements are comfortable for couples or groups. Even some of the meal selections are big enough for two people, which is convenient.
Lets Get to the Menu: On this visit, I ordered the Bulgogi Box. This dish included thin-sliced beef, with cooked onions all served in their Korean sauce. This dish was accompanied by a portion of white rice, with kimchi and tofu. I avoided the tofu altogether as it ruins my stomach. The kimchi was fresh and I found myself in love with the beef after a few bites. The beef had great flavor, easy to eat and the onions were not overcooked, which was a good thing. My friend ordered the Dak Bulgogi Box, which included stir-fried spicy chicken with onions. She was happy with this dish. She commented good portion, and level of spice. Our orders came to $20.81 before tip.
Extras: You are approximately ten to fifteen minutes from the Winter Park Village (depending on traffic), and a couple of minutes from a Publix shopping center.
Restaurant Cleanliness: No issues to report.
Forms of Payment Accepted: Cash or credit card.
